Hôpital Régional de Sudbury Regional Hospital Partnership
Sudbury Ontario– April 30, 2009 - B Sharp Technologies Inc. announced today their partnership with Hôpital Régional de Sudbury Regional Hospital (HRSRH) to deliver a web-based integrated solution for data collection and reporting that complies with the MOHLTC and LHIN directives for mandatory reporting for inpatient psychiatry, community mental health and addictions programs. The solution will span the continuum of inpatient and community mental health and addiction services across nine sites in the Sudbury-Manitoulin Districts providing a suite of clinical assessment and case management tools.
According to Maureen McLelland, Administrative Director, Mental Health and Addiction Programs, HRSRH’s vision is to have one solution that interfaces with its existing electronic information system that streamlines and standardizes collection of client information specifically required in the mental health & addictions environment. “We required a solution that would enhance our ability to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of mental health and addictions services in inpatient and community settings”.
This project will accommodate and complement other Ministry initiatives, including the development and implementation of the Ontario Common Assessment of Need (OCAN), the Mental Health Common Data Set, the Inpatient RAI instrument, Drug & Alcohol Treatment Information System and Mental Health Report Card.
HRSRH’s commitment to quality and the delivery of mental health and addiction services is a top priority for Maureen and her team. “We are continually seeking to improve our client information and statistical reporting needs by facilitating the enhancement of an integrated client record across 9 program sites, in a way that ensures information is gathered in a standardized way and readily available to make the best care decisions”.
Robert Lazar, B Sharp’s Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder added, “We are extremely pleased to be working in partnership with HRSRH as they continue their leadership and innovation in achieving their vision for excellence in patient care”.
